Glad you like the site. You will find a list of videos I know about under "Other" and "Non-internet resources". I would, however, caution against using them to learn new moves. Firstly, you will find it very hard, even with pause play etc, to work out what limbs are going where. Secondly, for dips and airsteps, they do not show the forces, pressures and safety aspects that you would find out at a proper class. Although I try to overcome this with this sites textual descriptions and illustrations on the beat, I would never recommend learning new hazadous moves from this site either! The videos do help though. I remember one lady who, after watching a video, said that never again would she feel embarrased about trying to raise her arms etc to show style - all the dancers who looked good did it! On your other topic, I have enjoyed one competition (see "other" and "Aerobatic experience"). It was great and knowing that we were going to try, did give us the motivation to practice some quite difficult moves, which we could not really use at normal freestyle nights. Personally, I find the "challenge" aspect of dancing one of the more important. It does not matter if I am dancing with a beginner or some brilliant person, if we begin to do things we could not at the beginning of the evening, then I am having fun. If everything goes just smoothly, then I usually get bored! Now I know that some will think that I am on another planet. Well - I like my planet and I know enough other ladies who like it too!
